Thinking of trying for rush tickets at any of the following:

Gentlemen's Guide
Les Mis
After Midnight
Bullets Over Broadway
Pippin

The last time I got rush tickets was for Once, and the seats were mezzanine, partial/obstructed view. Do any of the above shows offer better seats for rush?

Thanks!

I rushed Bullets quite a while ago, in previews, and the rush seats were in the first row. The stage is quite high, and you're very close. You can't see anyone's feet. I thought it was a fun experience!

Pippin: mine were in the Mezzanine- but there are no bad seats in the Music Box. After Midnight: Obstructed view from the side of the first row- could have been worse. Stage is low but I missed one of Fantasia's songs.

I rushed After Midnight and got a Row E far side seat but the row was empty and I was able to move over and had an awesome view. Got first row far side for Gentleman's Guide and the view was fine. I couldn't see half of the screen where the projections are but I was able to see all the actors perfectly.

I was in the middle of the orchestra, house right for Gentleman's Guide. No obstruction.

I was in the orchestra far house right for Gentleman's Guide, somewhere around row G. The seats were excellent, I only really missed a couple of things. I did standing room for Bullets but the standing spots were a nice view and I was able to sit down at the back of the orchestra for the second act.

Really? Is BULLETS selling out? I presume so, since that's most shows' criterion for offering standing room. I hadn't realized it was doing so well now.

Macnyc, did you think the front row for Bullets was too close? I'm going to rush it on June 8. When I rushed Bring It On, I felt it was too close to appreciate the choreography and I chose a further back seat. Of course there were a lot of empty seats at Bring It On, I may not have that option with Bullets.

I did it, too, ArtMan-and I loved Bullets from the front row-it's a very cool experience for that show (there is some minor interaction during the chorus girl scenes and such). It's just fun to be that close (so long as you don't mind not seeing feet). I loved it from there. (I did see Bring it On from there and loved that too.)

It IS really close, but I liked the intensity of it. There's one part (I'll avoid spoilers) when the chorus girls go to one side and do a dance maneuver, and it look place right over my head! I was laughing hysterically! I could have touched the performers if I had been so inclined (and didn't mind being arrested). I would definitely sit there again. So, was it "too close"? For some people, maybe, but not for me. I really loved the show and I loved being so close.

I got standing room the week after opening literally 20 minutes before the performance started, so I'm not sure if it's a regular thing or not. Apparently that particular night they were indeed sold out.

Thanks to both of you. If I get a rush seat, I will take your advice and stay there (if I'm center). Far right or left, and I'm looking for another seat.

Thanks so very much to everyone who replied. This was very informative. Can anyone who has rushed Les Mis tell what their seats were like?

Both times I rushed Les Mis and Bullets I got front row. (I don't know if Les Mis is still giving those seats out for Rush because they are pretty good, row AA seats 2 and 4)

For Pippin, they have changed the order rush seats are given out. I always requested row B on house left and get it. So I am not sure if this helps.

Just rushed Bullets Over Broadway last Friday and got front row center. The tickets were stamped "Partial View" I guess because the stage is above eye level for most patrons. However, I'm 5'10" and my eyes came up to exactly stage level, so I was able to see all the way to the back of the stage, including everyone's feet. I noticed that most others (including all the women) who sat in my row didn't get as high a viewpoint as I.
