I mean, I am sorry, but it bothers me that you would lie to an audience full of people like that- I mean, why not just say they were signed by the cast, not stating specifically that they were signed by her. And when she's caught, she just continues to lie. I mean, I am not really bothered by the whole stamping thing (even through it's for charity), I just don't like the dishonesty of it.

Posted: 5/22/14 at 11:42amIf a signature stamp is considered a valid signature for a check (it is) then it is no more or less valid for a playbill. Consider that dressing rooms are small spaces by nature, and for BC/EFA the cast is signing literally hundreds of playbills and posters at a time. If sharpie indeed does make her nauseous then more power to her for using a stamp. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.

Posted: 5/22/14 at 11:44amShe can use a pen. and they don't have to be signed in a small dressing room- Callan Bergmann posted pictures of the cast signing posters in the lobby. And a Stamp is not considered an autograph- Period.

If you're purchasing signed merchandise for BC/EFA, you're getting something signed en masse anyway - it's busy work for the cast to do before they need to get ready. I understand stagedooring, to an extent, because of the personal interaction with the cast- the signature has more meaning because it's linked to a specific interaction.
But this? It's not personalized. It's not even personal. It's basically a product.

Look, I know the easy and "fun" thing to do is to jump on the "Who cares?/You're not paying for an autograph/You people have nothing better to talk about" bandwagon.
But the fact is that BC/EFA is offering merchandise that isn't being labeled properly. And if this were Bernadette or Patti, you all would be freaking the f*ck out, and you know it.
