Currently playing @ the Irish Rep

It is a 2 person play about a long distance romance starting as writing letters back and forth. The guy is a lonely man living on the coast of Ireland and a slightly younger woman living in Liverpool. They meet and the play progresses from there. It is enjoyable and holds your interest

I was not aware this was written by Gardner Mc Kay of Adventures in Paradise (short lived TV series of the 60's).

It is a nice little story acted by 2 actors I never heard of. It is always on TDF. Worth a visit.

Avoid the movie. Filmed on location with a young George Hearn. On film, it is deadly dull. On a small stage it is very enjoyable.

I saw it on Opening night. I think it's a charming piece. Nothing earth shattering. I think the male performance was a little to "Big" for the small space. Maybe he has toned it down a little. The Irish Rep always does a great job. It's a really good production of an ok play.

It is a sweet simple love letter of a play. Never once believed the virginity aspect of it however.
