Would FUN HOME work here? I haven't seen it, but I get the impression that an intimate theater is a necessity.

Fun Home would most definitely not work in the Longacre. It's too big for it.

All The Way could work there I think.

^^yes.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Probably All the Way or The Realistic Joneses depending on what take The Golden.

Honeymoon won't be coming in unless Big Fish sinks. It's a big musical with a big cast and it's not easy to just throw that into a theater.

I could see either of the places mentioned.

Fun Home could work very well in the Golden! or possibly the Booth after glass menagerie.

Fun Home really needs the booth.

I could see Fun Home at something like the Kerr. It's a big house, sure, but to me it still feels intimate.

I said on another thread that Helen Mirren's 'The Audience' may come over, but this would be more suited for the Golden, also as Broadway has fallen head over heels in love with Shakespeare again, it is entirely possible that the National Theatre of Great Britain production of Othello with Adrian Lester and Rory Kinnear is a strong canidatde to come over. Both productions and all 3 actors got flat out raves from Ben Brantley, when he was over.

Saying that Othello would need a big stage, which would rule out the Longacre!

Othello is absolutely not coming over.

I think ALL THE WAY starts in January, right? If so, it will take the Golden. Longacre may go to THE REALISTIC JONESES or MOTHERS & SONS.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I have a feeling that whatever goes into the Longacre will be a musical. So many musicals trying to come in as well as plays. With more of the smaller theaters shows closing I feel like the plays might be put in those theaters. Just a thought.

Wouldn't Of Mice and Men work at the Longacre? Realistic Jones has a powerhouse cast with Toni Collette and Tracy Letts but wouldn't it work best in a smaller house. What is "Mothers and Sons" and "All the Way"?

I don't think ALLEGIANCE is on anyone's short list for a theater to be honest. Maybe in a year with lots of theater availability but not now.

I love the LONGACRE... it is one of my favorite theaters, but I think it is just a tiny bit too big for a small play. It was perfect for BOEING BOEING.

I see a smaller musical coming in here.

I actually feel the Longacre would be perfect for the Dames At Sea revival.
