Susie McMonagle in Next to Normal!

As a big Next to Normal fan I was super excited to hear that Susie McMonagle will play Diana in Drury Lane Theater's production. McMonagle, who has played Fantine in the Broadway production of Les Miserables and was in the first National tour of Mama Mia and Billy Elliot, is a powerhouse! The show hasn't been to Chicago since the 2011 tour. I am also interested to see how the artistic team at Drury Lane make the production their own. Is anyone else as excited as I am for this? The production starts August 22!

It's a fantastic production. I was a bit skeptical about the show having had a bad experience with another Drury Lane production years ago, but I'm glad I returned for this. They really need to plan a production of Blood Brothers with McMonagle ASAP. She's fantastic.

The show is just fantastic! Saw it on 8/24 and they were on fire! SUCH a show worth seeing!
