All the love for the new Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet returning, and the fact I'm studying Othello in English class, my interest in the Bard has been renewed. Which Shakespeare play do you think should play next in a Broadway theater? Or do you think that Shakespeare should stay in London, with only RSC performing it?

Personally, I'd love to see Titus Andronicus, with a dark director at the helm.

Shakespeare productions- quality Shakespeare productions- aren't at all rare in NYC. They're just not often on Broadway.

Namo, did Sue tell you it's ok to be un-PC with that statement?

^Please no, I've seen enough of A Midsummer Night's Dream for a long time. I'm excited for Comedy of Errors at the Delacorte this summer!

I say bring back "Two Gentlemen of Verona." (And by that I mean the Tony-winning musical with a Galt MacDermot score.)

I'll never get tired of The Tempest, and it would be really great to see a production of it with a big budget and creative art direction.

I'd love to see Titus Andronicus or Julius Caesar.

Titus Andronicus, Richard II, Henry VIII (which I LOVE-but you need someone pretty charismatic to play Henry).

I'd also love to see Henry V. The St. Crispin's Day speech is one of my favorite monologues.

We just had CAESAR not too too long ago, though. There's many others that deserve productions before that one is mounted again, I think.

Although I love Kiss Me, Kate, what about just plain old Taming of the Shrew? I still find the play interesting apart from the musical

I was hoping the irreverent, fun production of Much Ado About Nothing I saw in London with David Tennant and Catherine Tate would transfer.

Kelly, I would have DIED to see that production. Gotta love the Doctor and Donna.

I personally think we should give up on Shakespeare and produce more Theresa Rebeck. It's about time for a SEMINAR revival.

While this is not concrete confirmation, this article:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2289881/Mark-Rylance-rule-BBCs-Wolf-Hall-adaptation-best-selling-novel.html

indicates that the Globe's TWELFTH NIGHT/RICHARD III starring Mark Rylance will play Broadway sometime after he's done directing MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING at the Old Vic in September

Bring Gregory Doran over to do something...anything...

I would love to see Rylance's Twelfth Night/Richard III transfer- I spent a week in London last fall, and got there just as the Globe finished their season, so I missed what apparently was an incredible production.

I'd also love to see a production of Titus Andronicus anywhere, largely just because I really love that play.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

The Winter's Tale. The last time it was on Broadway was 1946. with Jessie Royce Landis as Hermione, Henry Daniell as Leontes and Jo Van Fleet as Dorcas.

I would love to see a Tennant and Tate Taming of the Shrew.

If they wanted to hardcore and do a BBC all-star Twelfth Night, think of this cast:

Viola: Catherine Tate
Orsino: David Tennant
Olivia: Billie Piper
Sebastian: Andrew Scott
Malvolio: Benedict Cumberbatch
Sir Toby: Rich Fulcher
Sir Andrew: Matt Berry
Maria: Una Stubbs
Feste: Richard Aoyade

I vote Othello, I think this is one of my favorite Shakespeare shows I have ever seen, and I have seen it a few times. Another good one would be Much Ado About Nothing. Another one of my favorites!
