Assuming I'm in the right spot (which I assume I am since I'm right out front of their box office one W 50th) it's two and a half hours prior to the box office box office opening and I'm the only person in line.

From my experience at NWS (not necessarily this show), if you show up 30 minutes before the box office opens, you'd probably *still* be the first in line.

But maybe THDavis could enlighten us as to when people started showing up and how many.

If what's online is accurate, they're only selling 18 rush tickets per performance. I think people have been figuring that this might make rush more competitive, thus causing a need to line up earlier.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

On Saturday my friend and I showed up about 10 minutes before the box office opened and was probably 20th in line but we were able to get rush for the matinee. I got a little worried when I saw people lined up but I forgot they were actually selling rush for 4 shows. Not sure how many people in line were buying for Bare or Ave Q though

Most people probably started filing in closer to 8:30-9 for the 10 AM opening. People obviously showed up afterwards, but the majority of people seemed to get there between that time. It was indeed a 4-show day for NWS, so it was a big mix of people looking to get Avenue Q and bare tickets for both performances that day.

You can buy 2 rush (front row) tickets for Bare for 26.50 each. I got there yesterday at 8:30 and was #7 in line but as people said the box office was selling rush tickets for both the evening and matinee performances for Ave Q, Bare and Forever Dusty so I was the second person to actually buy Bare rush. If I were to do it again I'd probably get there around 9:30, those people still got tickets.

I got to the box office at around 3:30pm and they were out of rush tickets but sold me a seat for $40. Row M or so. A great view of everything in the intimate theatre.
