Matt Doyle has the distinction of appearing in both the Best Play of 2011 and the Best Musical. Just wondering, has any other actor achieved something similar?
Can't think of others off the top of my head, but I don't see what's so special about it. Sure it's cool, but a stellar accomplishment? A stellar accomplishment is Jan Maxwell being nominated for two Tonys in one season.
Not quite the same, but Brian F.O'Byrne appeared in both Best Play at the Tonys (Doubt) and Best Picture at the Oscars (Million Dollar Baby) in 2005. I don't know if that constitutes "stellar".
Beyoncé is not an ally. Actions speak louder than words, Mrs. Carter. #Dubai #$$$
Judi Dench picked up both Best Actress in a Play and Best Actress in a Musical at the Oliviers in 1996 for Absolute Hell and A Little Night Music respectively.
Well he's not accomplishing anything. It's not as though he went out attempting this and his labors were rewarded. No, he happened to be in War Horse and now he happens to be in Book of Mormon.
Carolee Carmello's created two Broadway roles recently in two awful shows. What a STELLAR ACCOMPLISHMENT!
Personally, I think Matt Doyle's most stellar accomplishment is landing Ryan Steele. I mean, who saw Newsies and didn't want to get with him? Matt actually did it.
Yeah he happened to be in War Horse and he just happens to be in Book of Mormon. Stuff like that just happens all the time.
You people sometimes...
