Pumps and Dinettes will be taking the Circle in the Square... or that's at least the last I heard about where it was going.

Ann is going into the Beaumont.

Barrymore might be vacant by then too...

It's THE NANCE, not Nuance.

Also, the Belasco will be dark come January 20th (barring an extension) as GOLDEN BOY is a limited run.

ETA- DEAD ACCOUNTS is only supposed to run through February 24th, so the Music Box is another available Spring theater.

Very excited for Matilda!

Hi! I'm Zach. I'm 13 years old, and love the theatre. I live on the outskirts of NYC, and pop in to catch about 1 or 2 shows per month.

You forgot THE OTHER PLACE.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF to the Rodgers, PICNIC to the American Airlines as well... anyone else hoping Mark Rylance can come back to the Music Box with his West End TWELFTH NIGHT (and bringing Stephen Fry with him as Malvolio?)

Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.

Lucky Guy is being revived? Thank god!

jnb9872, don't tease me like that talking about TWELFTH NIGHT. There isn't too much time for that to happen unfortunately. The TWELFTH NIGHT/RICHARD III double bill runs in London through February 10th and then Rylance goes into NICE FISH at the Guthrie, which begin performances on April 6th.

Aww damn it! I hadn't realized he was performing in it, thought he had just co-written it. Though that might also be fun to bring to NY in the fall, perhaps?

Basically, I just want Mr. Rylance in permanent residence at the Music Box.

I'm not entirely positive he's going to be in it. He is co-directing it with his wife. The only article I can find where it explicitly says he'll be performing in the show is the NY Times Arts Beat Blog. None of the other articles from back in April when this was announced state that he is performing in addition to writing and directing. The Guthrie's website doesn't have any specific information either.
