Sorry, song, I have never used the word "buzz single" and YOU are the person who introduced it to these boards. I made fun of it immediately and will continue to for as long as you use it.

"i am saying it was not intended as the lead single of the album, that's what her label said."

Can anybody parse that sentence for me?

Namo that's utter bulls**t, i never started the term 'buzz single', i have always said that the single was not the leading single from the album that it was done for the Superbowl. The first time i heard the term 'Buzz Single' was on here.

And Mister Matt 'The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' reference is both a dated joke done much funnier by Namo and also makes no sense (she used the words 'Girls they just want to have some fun', wow, well then clearly she copied the single *rolls eyes*

Also Matt, you are fast becoming the poor man's Namo.

Wow Namo, that is what you had to resort to? wow

Honestly, I don't remember Namo making that joke. It occurred to me and MANY MANY MANY others the first time they heard the song, which is why it makes sense. It may not be as semantically close as Give Me All Your Luvin or The Beat Goes On, but it still makes sense.

(she used the words 'Girls they just want to have some fun', wow, well then clearly she copied the single *rolls eyes*

CLEARLY, Namo and I were the ONLY ones to make that connection. It was such a STRETCH, NOBODY else could have connected the dots. How could you even decipher it?!?! *rolls eyes*

I freely admit to making a silly and sophomoric joke. But it makes a lot more sense than your reaction to it.

Madonna's new song "She Bops Time After Time" sounds vaguely familiar, as well...

Ha!

To be honest, umm, wasn't the line in Girl Gone Wild an obvious homage to the Lauper song? I'm sure even Madonna would own up to that--I don't really see the issue with calling it that as a joke either way (and I actually kinda like the song...)

I have no problem with the joke, it was funny when Namo was saying a few months ago, it's just not as funny when his shadow says it, that' all.

That i would love to hear

I'll say it again: Honestly, I don't remember Namo making that joke. I said it a long time ago as well and given the number of others who said the same thing, it's probably a chicken/egg thing anyway. If you're trying to force me and Namo together, it won't work. I already have a boyfriend and had to turn Namo down NUMEROUS times. I even gave him the ring back. Don't worry, I washed it first.

I'm just Mister Matt and I've posted my views on Madonna for years. They haven't changed you know it, so stop getting all defensive and taking it personally and acting like this is new.

Namo i don't take it personally, i take uneducated ramblings and tabloid headlines bounced around like fact personally, and let's be honest, this thread is full of that.

Anyway ya'll just need to shut up with your hating and bitching and Turn Up The Radio

Turn Up the Radio is the song I thought would be the one I'd fall in love with when I first started playing it, but as soon as it sounds like it will take off, it flat-lines and never really goes anywhere. By the end of the track, I was just completely frustrated with it as it seemed like Madonna just sort of lost interest and didn't put much effort into the melody or the recording. I really wanted to find a song I would love off this album and I thought this would be it. To me, it's ironically titled because she keeps telling me to Turn Up the Radio but never really gives me much reason to do so.

I like it but its not the best, i agree the chorus should build, however the build on the bridge is awesome.

The best ones by far on the album are Love Spent (one of my fave songs of hers to date) Gang Bang, Falling Free, Beautiful Killer, I'm Addicted, I'm a Sinner and I Don't Give A

"Turn Up the Radio" is another bridge to nowhere. It's just Madonna acting out her perverse S&M relationship with the people who buy her product.

Madonna hasn't had a mainstream success with a followup single to any of her albums since Don't Tell Me from Music. I think in that case some ageism may play a part--plus once you become an album artist, or whatever you wanna call her, the fans tend to buy up the album and then interest has already peaked. It's not always a reflection on the song (and of course it happened with Cher and Believe).

That said, whatever one thinks about this album, there's obviously no way Radio can help it at this point. I think it's a better single choice than the last two (I like Girl Gone Wild fine but it shoulda just been a club release, and the less said about Lovin the better), although I agree that it doesn't really have any build and Martin S' production is a tad too similar to his Hello with Dragonette. Meh, I hope the video is at least decent.

Songanddance I like Love Spent and Beautiful Killer too--and most fans seem to love them. So why isn't Madonna doing Love Spent on her tour, but is doing some of the least liked tracks (though I have heard she may add it to the N American setlist), and why was Beautiful Killer just left for the bonus disc? It just seems like another example of how poorly thought out, and slapped together MDNA was IMHO.

That's okay, she cared about her product for 20 years! Now you're being ageist, which is something that exists only in America.

Also, when I made the comparison to Hello on the day the cd was released, sonandd called me insane and said I was just pulling lies outta my butt. Of course one needs to listen without unquestioning devotion.

Love Spent is easily one of my favorite Madonna songs ever. It pisses me off she's not doing it on tour but we have to be subjected to another reinterpretation of Like A Virgin.

Ha! Some DJ should do a mashup of Hello and Radio--I'm sure someone has. I'd like the song much better.

That's because it would have the tension AND the release, which Madonna failed to include even though all indications of the song lead the listener to believe it's coming (a bridge that literally leads nowhere). And that, my friends, is what I mean about Madonna's perversity towards her listeners (which at this point is mostly just her die hard fans). The fact that she's flipped them off for three tours in a row (and probably this one, but maybe she does it in a slo-mo dirge-like fashion as she cries boo-hoo tears, I dunno) is the first obvious clue about how she feels.

Because nobody was satisfied with just the nipple, Madonna decides to go the full monty. After all, Gaga was seen last week in see-through panties but this, well, it's not reductive at all. Noooooooo.
