Not sure you can really revive some of those old shows - have seen productions of both LADY BE GOOD and GIRL CRAZY and they were both very difficult to sit through. The librettos for both were wildly dated. We have come to expect a much "sophisticated" (if you will) style of writing. Especially for musical comedies. I have never seen nor read OH, KAY but seeing that is is from the same period and a star vehicle it might not play that well either.
Did anyone see the two David Merrick revivals of OH, KAY in 1990?

I did see the revival of "Oh, Kay" and had a similar "isnt this nice" reaction to it. The supporting cast outshone the leads, especially Gregg Burge and Kyme.

The plot of Nice Work is so similar, which is why I dont see why they didnt just revamp the original and call it a revival. It's not like they're doing anything new here.

One thing, I thought it was hilarious that they used the cases of booze as building blocks just like they use the luggage in both Ghost and Evita...someone's sharing notes!

Didn't want to start a new thread, but does anyone know who is replacing Robert Hartwell since he's leaving for Cinderella?
