The Royal Shakespeare Company plans to bring its production of Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical to New York in early 2013.

Not surprising, I imagine Bertie Carvel will reprise his role of Miss Trunchbull, unlike Billy Elliot, I can't see them making much if any changes for Broadway.

Isn't one reason (along with £) that the RSC are transferring it themselves due to wanting to keep full creative control?

Yes, and I hope they do but it could be the shows downfall.
