Pretty amazing finale. I'm interested to see just how well the story works incorporating Elsa. I hope it makes sense more than them just wanting to cash in on the buzz around Frozen.

I agree that Lana Parrilla is an amazing actress. Used to love her in Swingtown. On the other hand, am I the only person who thinks Emilie de Ravin is the WORST actress?

de Ravin is awful on this show, which is a shame, given how good she was on Lost. I blame part of it on the fact that the writers always have her character doing the stupidest things.

I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it. Lana Parilla's work this season deserves to be recognized with an Emmy nomination. It will never happen, of course, but she deserves it.

^ Anything could happen at the Emmys. It just depends how good the other submissions are for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama are.

I didn't get home last night until after the show had started (took my mom to see Bridges of Madison County). Part 1 was up on Demand by about 11pm but Part 2 wasn't so I decided to just wait until today.

Interesting about Elsa though. The world of Frozen didn't have a true antagonist - Hans was more of a jerk than a true villain. So, I wonder how that'll work.

Elsa / someone who looks like Elsa is the new villian, so why are you questioning who the villian from Frozen?
Please don't argue "she is not a villian"... Two words, PETER. PAN.

Lana Parilla is fantastic on the show.. She does amazing things. Watching her face off with Rebebba Mader's PERFECT turn as Zelena has been a treat.

Emilie de Ravin is painful on the show, and no it is not just the script. Her line deliveries are always vacant and as though she is stage in the school cafetorium while her mother is snapping oictures.. or as if she took Vicotin before the cameras began to roll.

I haven't seen Frozen, but since it's based on the fairy tale The Snow Queen, perhaps they'll go back to that story, plus add their own twists.

Did it state clearly that she's a villain? Yes, she was locked up and yes it stated the urn held someone "dangerous". But if you recall the film Elsa was locked up and almost killed because she was seen as "dangerous". But, she wasn't - she was simply feared because of her powers.

I'm not really arguing for or against - especially since I won't see the episode until later tonight. But, with this show we can't assume anything.

De Ravin isn't the only actor who has gotten negative criticism on the show. There are tons of viewers have not enjoyed Jared S. Gilmore as Henry.

I'm just puzzled as to why Hook let her do it, after he lectured her all episode long about the dangers of messing with the past.

Well, I think the idea is that because they changed the past by letting her live, the only way they could keep things happening the same was to remove her entirely from the world. Since they weren't going to murder her after rescuing her, they had to keep her from running off and returning to her family and screwing up the timeline. It was basically a way of NOT messing with the past.

i am saying that it is open ended.. But she was introduced in much the same way as previous villains.. You are assuming she is not a villain because she wasn't in Frozen. In the ONCE realm, we have seen that as meaningless. Pan was a hero in the Disney film and a complete villain here.

I have marginally more patience for Gilmore as Henry, but it wears thin.

Hook was left with a catch-22 because Emma was foolish. Good hearted, but foolish.

I am assuming nothing and I said so in my last post - "But, with this show we can't assume anything."

All I am saying is that we can't say for sure right now what side she's on.

And then there's this:

Sorry about that. I am typing in my iPad while at work and I missed that between small font and autocorrect!

One can be a villain without being a baddie. A villain is the antagonist. Without stealing the thunder from Wicked, look at MGM's Oz. You can't say the Wicked Witch was WRONG.. And I am still liking the Idea of an Elsa figure who is not what, or who, she seems.

My heart broke for Regina. But I have a feeling that set her up to unfortunately be evil again. I hope that I'm wrong because all it will do is be another storyline with Henry being mad at her and her being nice again for his sake. It's been done before and we don't need to see it again.

Giving Regina that reason to be mean/angry/jealous again makes total sense; they killed this season's main antagonist, the Wicked Witch. So they need the original antagonist back. Obviously we've seen that Regina has a...helpful side. I don't know that we can call it "nice" now, or yet, or ever, as she *is* the Evil Queen through and through, after all. She only helped in order to bring Henry and/or Emma (who is a package deal with Henry) back from the other realms. Her motivation is always Henry--which is something SHE always wants. She acts based on her own desires and goals, and everyone else's are secondary to her, don't forget. Just because she joined the team for 12 weeks clearly doesn't mean she's a changed woman.

So, I believe that Marian is a plot device to make Regina bring back her mean side again, but perhaps for only half of next season, the way they divided up the season, this year. And, I also believe that, since it's been stated several times (and as someone above pointed out), she's destined to be with Robin, Marian will somehow be killed off in Storybrooke, thus keeping her own original destiny intact, and also giving Regina and Robin a happy ending by the end of next season.

And then we'll see if they get renewed and come up with another villain for the following year. :)

Robin has a decision to make. I really don't think he's the type to say "Hey, my wife's back from the dead so I'm going to break up with you". Yes, he loves Marion but his feelings for Regina are real - especially now that he knows they're destined for each other. And, he's not the same person he was before Marion died so it'll be hard for them to just pick up where they left off.

I think Robin has some soul searching ahead of him and he's too nice a guy to just drop Regina.

I don't know that the implication was ever that Regina was DESTINED to be with Robin Hood. After all, she could have continued to keep her distance and keep anything from happening. I think it's more that they have the potential for true love because they're soulmates if they allow for it to happen. There's no "and they will end up together guaranteed."

So...the fact that they've been shoving this "Regina and Robin are destined to be together" thing down our throats all season means nothing to you, then? Seems pretty clear. :)

I do agree with the poster who said Robin is now too nice a guy to just drop Regina and implied he would spend much of next season in conflict with himself, soul-searching, once he gets over the 3 seconds of shock they showed us, with his wife and child all reunited with him. I still think Marian will die, as is her destiny, in any realm. The show is pretty consistent like that. Or, heck, maybe they'll hook her up with Grumpy.
