Posted: 1/7/15 at 11:03pmI finished watching this documentary. It really is interesting to know that Ute Lemper almost quit the show during rehearsals. Plus, there was a degree of tension between the American's approach to critiquing versus the British way of doing things. Fascinating.

Carly Hughes will step into the role of merry murderess Velma Kelly beginning Feb. 2, 2015. She will succeed Amra-Faye Wright, who plays her final performance Feb.

Finally, some new blood as this show really needs it! Carly was FAB in Pippin!
Even the ensemble says the show is getting stale and lacks the spark it had and that Amra was sleep walking-performing. The show is tired and needs new blood especially in the leads and supporting. Come on Barry & Fran let's liven the show up once again as your making a lot of money on it!

Great news for all John Dossett and Charlotte D'Amboise fans! They're both joining the Broadway cast: John Dossett: Monday, January 19 through Sunday, March 29 ...and Charlotte D'Amboise: 14 performances only beginning Thursday, January 22.

Bianca Marroquin's last day with the Broadway company will be January 11th. From January 11-20, Chicago veteran Dylis Croman will be Roxie Hart. Afterwards, Charlotte D'Amboise begins her 14 show limited run. (from TheatreMania)

Posted: 1/9/15 at 3:59amMan, getting rid of Amra-Faye Wright and bringing back Charlotte D'Amboise? Those are pretty much the two things that would get back to Chicago. I saw Charlotte's Roxie perhaps a decade ago and I still remember how perfect she was in every imaginable way. Short run. Wonder what she's off to next - perhaps just a well deserved break.

BWW interviews Terra C MacLeod, prior to the Kansas City opening of the show. It was an informative interview...with the exception of two things. He actually asked "how old are you" and "who was the most famous person you worked with"? She handled the first question with class, by not answering it. The second one: "famous is subjective." Steve Wilson...seriously? from RC in Austin, Texas... soon to be in San Antonio, TX seeing my favorite show on Sat. Jan. 31, 2015. I bought tickets for both the 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. shows.

I wish that we'd get a new Amos on Broadway. Bokhour is done on the 1st. I'd love to see a brand new Amos with the three new leads that will be starting soon.

Posted: 1/20/15 at 11:55amI would love to see Kevin Chamberlin as "Amos". There's something quite appealing about him. I saw him in "Addams Family." His love song to the moon is priceless. He hasn't played "Amos" in quite a few years.

Posted: 1/25/15 at 10:26pmI saw Charlotte's first performance last week, and she absolutely blew me away. I think she's one of, if not the best Roxie of all time, and any chance to see her in this role, which she still masterfully keeps fresh after over 2500 performances, is an absolute treat.
