DSM presales

I never understand what is available for DSM presales. Just tried to get presale Xanadu tickets, but none are available onstage and the best seats listed for the 5-6 days I tried are at the back of the orchestra. Anybody know the rhyme or reason why this is? Sometimes presales will give you great seats. Lately (it seems to me) they never have good seats even if you try at the exact second they go on sale. Are they trying to trick the presale people into thinking these are the best seats they have so they will go ahead and buy tickets? Just wondering. And venting, ha.
