I didn't see this posted previously, but I just stumbled across this delightful clip of Bea Arthur and Madame singing "A Good Man is Hard to Find". The Rock Hudson joke is a bit startling now, but it's otherwise a very cute sketch. Love the sunglasses at the beginning!

Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly is all the way to the bone.

LOVE Madam... especially with Bea!

Does anyone know if the COMPLETE "Bea Arthur Special" is available anywhere? YouTube is missing the opening and some other parts.

"Sniff, Swig, Puff" by Bea and Rock may be my favorite YouTube clip of all time.

And who else is chomping at the bit for a DVD release of MADAME'S PLACE?!

Pgenre, I've been looking for it for years. She sings a song from the Cy Coleman song ("The Way I See It") from the out-of-town closer "Home Again, Home Again" on it!

Wayland Flowers passed away a few years ago. He is supposedly buried with Madam. There is another puppeteer out there trying to bring her back.

Madame made a comeback with puppeteer Joe Kovacks last year in Atlantic City and has been touring this year in "Madame With an E" with co-star Rick Skye. She's scheduled to appear in Vegas and San Francisco at the end of the month.

Actually, the comeback in Atlantic City was with Rick Skye as well. Rick also wrote and directed the show. I saw it there and it was absolutely hysterical ... literally bringing Madame back to life!

Since then, they have performed up and down the Atlantic Coast, were the headline act at the Chicago International Mr. Leather competition and spent a month performing in Provincetown.

If you have a chance, catch the act, you will have a tremendous time!

Rick Skye is also well known for his performances as "A Slice O'Minnelli" for writing and directing "The War of the Mama Roses." Brilliant, funny, and extremely quick witted.

I just had to add this clip when I spotted it on the Tube.

I remember seeing Wayland and Madame at a club in the DC area in the 70's and laughing till I cried. It's wonderful hearing that she's back!

Bumping for an updated link. I love Bea Arthur so much - that little hang fling about a minute in kills me.
