A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Erivo's return is really boosting sales this week. Tonight looks sold-out. Anyone try their rush today?? Did they sell SRO after??

Hello everyone! Signed up just to bump this thread... it's July 13th, arrived at the theater at 7.10am and we're 14th in line. It's 8.01 and there's 30 people in line total.
The first person got here at 5.20am because she said she came at 7.30 last time and she didn't get a ticket!! Next person arrived at 6-ish.
I think since it's the summer, 6.30-7am is a safe area to be at to guarantee seats!! Will update when I get tickets! :)

Good luck!!! I saw the show this past Sunday and loved Erivo's performance! I tried for rush tix but they ran out. I went to TKTS and got a great center mezz seat.
Normally I prefer center mezz to get an overall view of the choreography but for this production of Color Purple, its intimacy can be better viewed from orchestra.

Hello wick3, thank you! Oh my, the show was phenomenal! Cynthia's voice was unreal!!! Those pipes! Heather was wonderful too. Was looking forward to seeing Danielle Brooks but she wasn't on the roster.
We got the box seats on the left side. Though the theater is small and we didn't miss any major scenes, still would have preferred orchestra seats.
Will definitely watch again! :)

Just got back to my hotel after rush. I arrived about 6:20 and was third in line. I got Box C seats 1, 2, and 3, which I hear is still a great view for the show. Really looking forward to seeing it even though I'm 99% positive Danielle will be out.

The exact language on the site --- http://colorpurple.com/tickets, scroll down towards the bottom --- says: "A limited number of rush tickets are available for purchase in-person at the box office beginning at 10am (12pm on Sundays) for that day’s performance(s) only. Maximum two tickets per person. Rush tickets are subject to availability and may not be offered at all performances. Rush seating locations will be determined at the discretion of the box office."
My educated guess is that if rush tickets were limited to students or under any other age restriction, or were cash-only, that would be noted on the website.
Also, for what it's worth, broadwayforbrokepeople.com (which to my knowledge is unofficial) shows TCP as "general rush" (not student) and says cash and credit are accepted.

also, if you check Telecharge before hand and notice that the show is close to selling out, odds are they'll sell SRO. I believe the show was sold-out for most of last weekend.

Went today (Friday, 7/22). Got there at 6:42 am. There were already 10 people in front of me. The two people in front of me only got there two minutes before me. They bought three tickets and when I got up to the box office, they were only selling singles. I was still able to buy two. Also, after me, the next person to arrive did not get there until 7:30 am.

Two weeks ago (also on a Thursday), I rushed Les Mis very early, so I had a good view of the Color Purple line across the street. The first people got there about 6:15am, as I recall, and the line really started forming up maybe around 6:45am-7:00am. Of course by the time the box opened, it was quite crowded (but then again, I'm not sure how many tickets they're giving out lately). It's got a reputation for being a line that usually starts forming pretty early. Hope this helps!

Yes, the rush line forms early. To be safe, I'd say get there by 7am. If you fail to get a ticket, ask about the partial view seats. These seats are hardly partial view, and are only $57.

Rushed 2 weeks ago (a Saturday). Arrived at 6:30. 8th in line. Was able to choose the box seat: left front box (house left) gives the best view, IMHO. $35, cash or credit. By the time the B.O. opened, there were about 50 people in line. The gentleman in the box office was awesome.

thread bump. today's matinee is sold-out & they're offering SRO. They also sold SRO for both shows yesterday.

Saw it last Wednesday for the matinee. Got to the box office at 1 p.m. and picked up one of the $59 rush loser (or whatever they're calling it) tickets. Nice side orchestra seat with a great view of everything. Truthfully, to spend an extra $24 to not have to get up at 5:00 a.m. and stand in line for 3-4 hours and to know you're getting a good orchestra seat was more than worth it.
