I'm currently obsessed with both the 1994 London Cast Recording and 2016 Broadway Revival Recording She Loves Me soundtracks. The orchestrations are so charming it's as if cherubs are playing!
Odd that the original poster refers to the recordings appropriately as Cast Recordings in his post but then goes back and refers to them as soundtracks and also does so in the title of the thread.
They actually are Cast Recordings, soundtracks are recordings of movie scores, even though iTunes, Spotify and most music streaming services erroneously label cast recordings as soundtracks as well.
Its become the norm but that doesn't make it right.

Oh, darn, I re-read my message twice hoping it wouldn't be nitpicked. Thank you for the clarification.
Still Hamilton. *sigh* I'm a little annoyed with myself. I keep trying to go back to bands I like, but Hamilton always pulls me back. I even started listening to Hadestown, but that didn't endure for me the way I thought it would. It was right back to Hamilton. I walk my dog late at night in the summer and I can hardly contain myself. I throw my fist into the air, do hand motions. If anyone saw me, I'd look totally ridiculous. It's as fresh as it was the day it was released. Good grief.
The American Idiot soundtrack, can't get past it. Also, the Fun Home soundtrack and the Evita original cast soundtrack. I pretty much listen to nothing but Broadway soundtracks nowadays.
I just got a few of the academics in my family the Hamilton recording, and they have me listening to it over and over and criticizing various historical figures and trying to fill in the blanks of what history is left out of the show. It's getting to be too much honestly.

Went to closing night of the Broadway production and I have never seen such a warm and responsive audience. (My friend actually preferred Psycho over Waitress, I think mainly because of the crowd.) I wish the show would move Off-Broadway.

Where do you get the German cast recording
