I am number 16 in line right now with not idea of how many tickets the people in front of me are waiting for. I am looking at stub hub but I am afraid to jump the gun because I was almost scammed yesterday.

After getting my sister a blue dot TICKEMASTER seat Thursday that popped up for Friday night (row F seat 7)  I bought a row B seat 103 (3rd row center) at 6:30pm for face value (before the $100 or so SH fee) We swapped seats and she got to see it as close as I have seen it.

For you or anyone, keep watching StubHub incase!  Miracles are out there for anyone willing to pay close to face value.  I've realized the real price gauging happens in the front and rear mezzanine resale seats.  Might as well see it closer and not get so ripped off.

Hi guys! I am a 15 year old high school student who loves Hamilton like the rest of us. I've done the line twice once for 42 hours and one for 72 hours. I can't wait to see it again. I am willing to wait for someone if they pay for half of my ticket. I will wait for as long as you want so we can be first in line. I want to see it again so bad but I spent all my money on the first two times. PM me if your interested, thanks!!

Selling 1 Hamilton ticket for Tuesday 7/26. Orchestra A left. Can transfer via Ticketmaster. It is up on TM resale now you can check to see that it's "real."  Will sell for less than price listed on TM because they inflated my asking price. PM if interested.

Honestly, I don't know. They had come around offering a premium ticket that no-one took. At 1:55, the line had not moved at all, so I decided to walk up to the box office and ask if that premium ticket was still available and, much to my surprise, still was. So, I didn't think about it twice and got it! I didn't see any of the people that were around me in the line inside, so I don't know if they got tickets or not! I will try to write my impressions on the show later but  ... back to waitress ... ! Thanks for all of the advice!

Sadly, when I got in, I just took a premium  ticket that no-one else wanted.

I've always wondered whether unsold premium tickets are sold to the cancellation line for the regular orchestra price a minute or two before it show starts... or if it's left empty.

But great choice on doing what you did. Had you not done so, *maybe* box office would have sold that same seat to the first person in line for $199.

Hey guys! First time posting, but I have been following this thread for a while now and have been waiting to find a good time to jump in the cancellation line. I was wondering which day you thought would be better to go, Monday or Wednesday? I'm taking into consideration the cast for the days, but then again I feel as though Wednesday will be kind of crazy because of the double shows, right? I'm really not sure and just need some advice, thanks(:

Update on Saturday matinee's line:

Much to my surprise, I ran into a couple of girls that were standing next to me at the cancellation line for Saturday matinee and it looks like everyone in front of me as well as a few people behind me ( I was number 16 in line) got SRO or unclaimed lottery ( first few in line ) tickets! I am glad that I took the premium ticket, because I wanted to see the whole thing, but I would have taken SRO in a heartbeat had it been offered before. So probably like 20 people got tickets at the cancellation line for the matinee. Probably when they counted us and sent the back of the line away, they were counting out the exact number of tickets ( regular + premium + unclaimed lottery + SRO) that they had available for the show.   BTW, the show had started by the time the girls that I ran into got in. They missed the entire first song ...

@blt812 where was your seat location?  Good move in taking it.  My fear is always missing any part of any show.

I just read this from July 11th which says he's doing 7 of the 8 shows - See the very bottom of interview.  I'm hearing such fabulous things about him and would love to see him since Lin is off.  Can anyone else clarify what performances he will regularly be performing for?

We will more than likely try for a Monday night.

How much did you have to pay for the premium ticket?

Oh!  That was a perfect seat!  Great balance of distance and central location.  I've sat in D and F and preferred F since I could see more of the lighting used on the stage floor.  Hamilton lighting looks amazing from the mezzanine.  Although I love B to just immerse myself in their acting, facial expressions and tears.

Glad you did the wait!

Premiums are usually $549  I bought one via Tickermaster on Thursday morning for Friday's show for my sister.  And it's the same price at the cancellation line for a premium ticket minus the TM fees.

Seat was perfect! I am so glad I waited too. My last day in NYC could not have been better. Hamilton matinee and Waitress in the evening!

Greetings all.  I have been reading this thread for a while now.  My wife and I have seen Hamilton twice via the cancellation line.  It has been a great experience.  We are flying in to NYC tomorrow morning and would love to catch the matinee.  If there is anyone willing to get in line for us, for a fee of course :), please send me a message.  We should be able to arrive at RRT at around 11.

Hi! So I was in the cancellation line this morning and figured I should share my experience here, since this post really helped me understand the process.

Timeline:

6:55am - Arrived at the theatre, and I was the 11th in line. SHOCKED. Luckily, most of them came with their partner(s), so each of them only want one ticket. After doing the math, I was the 16th ticket.

10:15am - Box office opened, premium tickets were offered at $549 each, and no one took it. Staffs counted 20 of us and cut rest of the cancellation line. GUYS THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! They only let the first 20 ppl to stay in line. No name list. And it doesn't matter if your partner is there or how many tickets you want. 20 ppl in line, period.

11:00am - Cancellation line moved to the other side of the street in preparation for the in person lottery.

12:15pm - Walked straight to the end of the lottery line and put in my raffle cuz the line is almost exhausted.

12:25pm - Ham4Ham show with Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Loved him, and have seen his Fully Committed before :)

12:30pm - Lottery was drawn. No luck for me, but one of the guys before me got it, so the show was 15-1=14 tickets away from me. A girl after me also left.

1:30pm - 5 seats were offered, not sure which row.

1:55pm - Still no clue. But one audience came out accompanied by a staff and asked the cancellation line who's single. And he took me in!!! I wasn't sure how much he would want me to pay, but I was just done with waiting. Was willing to pay a higher than regular price to see the show at that point. It turned out that he won the lottery ticket, but the one he's supposed to come with couldn't get out of work. I was super duper lucky!!!

3:00pm - Intermission, and saw those who were in front of me all got in, but not sure whether they were offered with SRO or regular ticket. Didn't see those who were behind me. So I would say at least 14 tickets were offered this morning.

Another important note is that, not only did they stop taking names, but they also completely separated the afternoon line and the evening line. Staff told us that if you wanna get on the afternoon line, come back at 5:30pm and we'll go from there. Same rule. First come first serve, and the first 20 ppl (not tickets) get to stay in the line.

Apparently everyday is different, and they seem to change practice quite a bit cuz my experience isn't what was described here before. Hope it helps!
