I rushed this show on Friday night. I got to the theatre around 6:15 for the 8 o'clock show that night and we were the last people to get two rush tickets. They were in the back row of the orchestra but not partial view so I was surprisingly pleased with the seats and could see the whole show perfectly. However, the two people in front of us in line also got rush tickets, but they were seated in the third row.

That's cool you were able to get tickets in the evening. I'm planning to rush tomorrow morning. Was it cash only?

I rushed yesterday on Tuesday morning. I got to there at 9:10 and was tenth in line. By 10 am, there were about 25 people in line. I got Row D extreme left partial view tickets. The people ahead of me also got extreme sides and I think the first people had box seats.

I rushed on Friday the 10th and arrived around 8:45am and there were already about a dozen people in front of me and eventually another dozen or so behind me by 10.

As for the tickets, we got two Orchestra seats far left, Row E....they were somewhat partial view but frankly I was okay with them because we really didn't miss anything significant. I felt for those who were in front of us though.

I did notice the people who were in front of the line got the box seats, like someone else already mentioned. They probably weren't bad seats but I can't say for sure as I have never sat in the boxes at the St. James...my guess is they had the issue with having partial view.

Thanks, aj88.

I ended up not getting to the box office until about 11:15am and I got two tickets, left orchestra row D seats 17 and 19 - sounds like a row in front of where you sat! I didn't miss much, either.

After missing out on rush tickets for a different show on Saturday (the group in front of me got the last pair, hate when that happens!) I decided to try my luck at Something Rotten.  I arrived here around 10:20 but due to the long line I didn't get to the box office to around 11.  By that time there was a single rush seat left for matinee so I decided to go for the evening.  I got a pair of tickets on far stage right Row C (which is the 2nd row). Although they were partial view we also did not miss anything significant and had a good view.

Getting tickets for Something Rotten instead of the other show turned out to be one of the best things to happen to me as I found this show to be hilarious and a fun experience.   There was no one seated in the Balcony Section (probably because it is still in previews?).

Anyone rush lately? Going next week after the Tonys and wondering how it has been and if I should risk it for cheaper tickets,or just buy not as good of price, or location, seats. Thanks!

I rushed last Sunday, the 24th. got there at like 9:30 (box office opened at noon), was like 8th in line, and we got front row dead center. I was confused though b/c i saw one of the people ahead of us in line with what i considered worse seats, front row off to stage right, so not sure if it's random at all or what. maybe they technically consider those seats less partial view as they were slightly farther back?

i was definitely surprised to get front row after reading on this board that it seemed those were lotto seats, not rush. i missed a bit of their feet tap dancing, but definitely not bad seats at all.

-edit-
forgot to mention the line did get pretty long before the box office opened. i didn't hang around so i'm not sure how many people ended up getting tickets, but i would imagine at least a few left empty handed. saw a guy that had been probably at least 10-15 people behind me in a box seat though.

Was looking to rush this week. Any updates? I noticed on telecharge that they've been selling the orchestra all the way on the sides (what they have sold for rush) for $137 and people seem to be buying them. Does this mean they're not selling as many rush tickets? Are the seat locations still on the side?

Today's not the best indicator because of the slower holiday weekend, but I walked up at 12:45 and got a rush seat in row F for the evening performance.

Bump -- I'm planning to try rushing for last-minute Mother's Day tickets tomorrow. BO opens at noon; anyone rush recently and have an idea when I should get there? Thx.

I went a few weekends ago on a Sunday. I got to the box office around 11 am, and I was fourth in line. I got two front row seats: Orch Row A seats 103 and 104. There were around 10-20 other people who came in line behind us as the morning continued. I believe that the majority of the people who rushed received front row seats as well.
