Today, we're featuring Bud Cort circa 1981. Film and stage actor, writer and director, Cort appeared on Broadway as 'Jerry' in 1972's Wise Child. Cort is known for playing 'Harold' in the 1971 film Harold and Maude, as well as the lead in the film Brewster McCloud. Cort's other credits include Endgame, The Chocolate War, Dogma, Pollock, The Twilight Zone, The Secret Diary of Sigmund Freud, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, an appearance on Arrested Development and more.

Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, starring Scarlett Johansson as Maggie, Ciarán Hinds as Big Daddy, Benjamin Walker as Brick and Debra Monk as Big Mama, directed by Rob Ashford, opened on January 17. Acclaimed actress and entertainer Tovah Feldshuh makes her 54 Below debut! In this zany musical evening, custom fashioned for 54 Below, Ms. Feldshuh revisits the 1970s when she first came to Studio 54 and to Broadway. She also inhabits a gallery of hilarious characters, ages 8 to 80, comic and dramatic-who sing! The songlist includes Broadway classics from Bernstein, Styne, and Gershwin to contemporary artists Dar Williams and Craig Carnelia. For these three special performances, Tovah will be joined by Broadway's Jesse Kissel on piano. For her work on the New York stage, which includes, among many others, Golda's Balcony, Irena's Vow, Yentl, Lend Me a Tenor, and Sarava! (which she will revisit in this show), Tovah is the recipient of four Tony nominations, and has won four Drama Desk, four Outer Critics Circle, the Obie, the Theatre World, and the Lucille Lortel Awards. The City of New York has honored Grammy Award-winning superstar (and Brooklyn native) Barry Manilow with his very own street. In a ceremony performed earlier today, Todd Asher, Deputy Commissioner of the New York City Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (and self-professed 'Fanilow'), unveiled a new street sign dubbing the West 44th Street at 7th Avenue 'MANILOW WAY.' The corner is mere steps from the St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street) where Manilow began a special Broadway concert series, Manilow on Broadway, last Friday, January 18.
