The Tony Award-winning Manhattan Theatre Club (Peter J. Solomon, Chairman of the Board; Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer) dedicated its Broadway theatre the 'Samuel J. Friedman Theatre' on Thursday, September 4. The ceremony began at the theatre (261 West 47th Street at 8th Avenue) . MTC previously announced that it was renaming its Broadway home, until now known as the Biltmore Theatre, the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in recognition of the pioneering Broadway publicist.

BroadwayWorld.com's cameras were on hand as the cast, creative team and band of '13, A New Musical' recorded the original Broadway recording. The recording will be released digitally as of 9/30, and will be available for purchase at The Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre soon thereafter. On July 13th, 2008 Laurence Fishburne had his Sardi's portrait unveiled at the famous restaurant. Fishburne is currently starring in the one man show Thurgood.

Sierra Boggess and her younger sister Summer Boggess sat down with photographer Peter James Zielinski to commemorate Summer subbing as the cellist in the orchestra of The Little Mermaid. Summer is a gifted cellist who made her Broadway debut this past April as a sub in various Broadway productions.
