The Alley Pond Environmental Center is hosting a blod drive on Thursday, August 26th from 2PM to 8PM. The location is 228-06 Northern Blvd in Douglaston, Queens. Each blood donation can help save up to three lives. The community hospitals are in need of donations. Participants must be 16 years old and older. A whimsical take on a time-honored fairytale comes to Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre when Stars in the Park presents the Prince Street Players' comic musical version of CINDERELLA. Dates and show times are Fridays, July 30 and August 6 at 7 p.m.; Saturdays, July 31 and August 7 at 7 p.m.; and Sundays, August 1 and 8 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on July 30.

Theater Latté Da presents 'Latté Da in the Park' on July 28th at 7:30 PM at the Lake Harriet Bandshell. The even is free and open to the public. The musical theater concert will feature some of the Twin Cities' finest talent.

Island Stage Left continues their tour of the 'Shakespeare Under the Stars' series with HENRY V, opening in Wold (1062 Wold Rd) on Friday, July 16th. The production already performed in Orcas, Waldron, Shaw, and Lopez and after closing at Wold on July 25th, will continued to Roche from July 29th to August 22nd. Admission is free but donations are welcomed. Performances in Wold run Fridays through Sundays at 8:15 PM. It is suggested to dress warmly and bring a blanket.

The 29th Annual Baltimore Playwright's Festival continues at The Vagabond Theatre with COMMENCEMENT, written by David Allyn and directed by Karin Crighton, July 16-18 and 23-25. The Baltimore Playwright's Festival at Vagabond Players which is located at 806 S. Broadway. Performance times are Friday and Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 7PM. Tickets are $10-$12 and are free for Vagabond members and subscribers.

The Whole Backstage Theatre in Guntersville presents ONCE ON THIS ISLAND from July 23rd to the 31st. This highly original and theatrical Caribbean adaptation of the popular fairy tale 'The Little Mermaid' garnered eight Tony nominations for its Broadway run, including Best Musical, Book and Score. It is a story of life, pain, love, grief, faith, and hope.

Queen City Theatre Company presents the regional premiere of ROPE by Patrick Hamilton from August 19th to September 4th. The play is recommended for audience members 18 and over. It will be held at the Duke Energy Theatre at Spirite Square.

BURN THE FLOOR, the international touring ballroom dance show that originated in London, will return this summer for a limited West End season at the Shaftesbury Theatre, beginning performances July 21 (prior to an official opening July 26) for a run through Sept. 4. The West End production features special guest stars Brian Fortuna & Ali Bastian.
