Sir David Attenborough Reschedules 'A Life on Earth' Australian Tour

Sir David Attenborough has recovered well and he has received the all clear to travel to Australia to complete his sell-out A Life on Earth tour in July. Sir David said, "Thank you everyone for all your wonderful and kind messages. Everything went well. I will see you in Australia very soon".

Sir David will be appearing in the same venues in all cities except Sydney and Brisbane, where venue changes were necessary. The rescheduled tour is as follows:

Thursday 11 July Melbourne, MCEC Plenary 2

Friday 12 July Melbourne, MCEC Plenary 2

Wednesday 17 July Sydney, Capitol Theatre

Thursday 18 July Sydney, Capitol Theatre

Friday 19 July Canberra, Royal Theatre, National Convention Centre Canberra

Wednesday 24 July Perth, Riverside Theatre

Saturday 27 July Adelaide, Adelaide Entertainment Centre

Patrons with tickets to the June shows in Melbourne (Ticketmaster), Perth and Adelaide (Ticketek) will be contacted by their ticketing agency and invited to attend the new dates. If the new dates are not convenient, ticketholders are asked to apply for a refund beforeJune 21. Released tickets will go on sale at 9am on Monday 24 June.

Patrons with tickets to the June shows in Sydney (Ticketmaster), Canberra (Ticketek) and Brisbane (Qtix) will automatically be provided with a refund, but will be are invited via email on June 24 to have first priority to purchase tickets for the new dates. Any available tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday 26 June.

Lateral Events CEO Simon Baggs said, "Sir David was extremely disappointed that he was unable to travel in June. He enjoyed his Australian shows last year so much he is very much looking forward to present his show to all those who were unable to get tickets in 2012. His show will include some of his new work such as Africa and Galapagos."

Sir David Attenborough is arguably the world's best-known natural history film-maker, a much loved naturalist and broadcaster whose career has spanned nearly six decades. He is the quintessential intrepid traveller, sometimes changing continents mid-sentence.

Sir David Attenborough - A Life on Earth will again take audiences on an incredible journey through his extraordinary life, his untold stories, the evolution of filming techniques and his passion for bringing us closer to nature. Audiences are urged to book immediately so not to miss out on this final opportunity to share Sir David's experiences in person with the great man himself.
