Award winning comedian and silly person Simon Godfrey purges the demons of his childhood in an epic one man show with more tomato sauce than is recommended by the Heart Foundation.

Simon Godfrey brings his condiment filled show Sauce to the Melbourne Fringe Festival, playing a giant cast of characters in the Fringe Hub, Son of Loft from September 26.

Sauce is the story of Max, a schoolboy who lives in a town where tomato sauce is the primary industry and a sacred condiment. When Max refuses sauce at a sausage sizzle, all hell breaks loose and the world is pushed to the brink of WW3. As his conniving principal, Vladimir Putin and the forces evil conspire against him, Max must make a final stand.

Sauce is dedicated to all the brave souls out there who don't like tomato sauce.

Simon Godfrey has written for TV shows including The Glass House, Good News Week and The Elegant Gentleman's Guide to Knife Fighting. He was the recipient of a 2012 Moosehead Award for Boneshaker, 2013 Best Script Award Short+Sweet Sydney and is one half of the sketch duo This is Siberian Husky. His previous work has been described as Monty Python on crack and has also been compared to The Mighty Boosh and the Pyjama Men.
