After selling out every show he's held at The Butterfly Club this year, Michael Shafar is dishing out another smorgasbord of delicious stand-up with the December edition of 3 Course Comedy. Featuring three of Melbourne's finest comedians, this is a stand-up degustation unlike any other (in that there isn't actually any food).

The performance will be at The Butterfly Club, (5 Carson Place, Melbourne) 5th of December at 10pm. Tickets are: $17-20.

Venue:

The premise is simple: take three of the finest delicacies on the Melbourne comedy menu and serve them for in a simple, one-hour digestion. After their sell-out debut in July, this latest offering is a hearty and thoughtful offering of entrée, main and dessert.

The entrée is Sam Taunton. This tasty morsel has been wowing crowds all year. From presenting on Channel V to racking up a "Special Mention" in the National RAW Comedy final, Taunton is on the rise. In fact, as Chortle put it, his "sparky conversational style and easy confidence suits the opening slot perfectly".

Serving up the main meal is the aforementioned Michael Shafar (3 Little Gigs, Outsiders, Round Squares). Shafar is the consummate storyteller. His natural anecdotal style will guide you around the world and back - painting poignant pictures of travel that are punctuated by laughter so hard your sides will actually hurt.

Your dessert for the night comes in the form of Tim Hewitt. And let's face it, he's pretty freaking sweet. Meet the man who can boast a sold out season at the Brisbane Fringe. The man that Squirrel comedy says "weaves in and out of his material in dream like fashion". Hewitt's comic stylings are the perfect way to round out a thoroughly delicious night of comedy.

*NB: No food is actually served in the performance of this show. It is merely an incredibly witty way of referring to a triple-bill comedy show. Get it? Do you get it now? Cool.
