It was announced today that a staggering thirteen musicals will perform at the 62nd Annual Antoniette Perry "Tony" Awards®.  In addition to the previously announced special performances by the Tony winning musicals Rent and The Lion King, for the first time ever, The Tony Awards will feature performances by each of this season's Broadway musicals.  

Along with performances by nominated musicals Cry-Baby, Grease, Gyspy, In The Heights, Passing Strange, South Pacific, Sunday in the Park with George and Xanadu, this year's telecast will also include performances by A Catered Affair, The Little Mermaid and Young Frankenstein .

 The Tony Awards, hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall on CBS, Sunday, June 15th, 8:00 – 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT time delay).  The 2008 Tony Awards are presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.  To view the live Tony Awards pre-telecast, featuring the Creative Arts Awards, please log onto www.TonyAwards.com at 7:00 p.m. (EST) on Sunday, June 15.
