WINTER RHYTHMS Welcomes Gay Marshall to Urban Stages 12/5

Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director), assisted by director/lyricist Peter Napolitano welcomes Gay Marshall to WINTER RHYTHMS, on Monday, December 5 at 7pm. On her night off from playing Jacqueline on the National Tour of La Cage Aux Folles, Gay, a Billboard World Artist, will entertain with stories and a variety of music from Cole Porter to Dave Frishberg, accompanied by the fabulous Tracy Stark.

Gay Marshall has been busy: she will release her new album, GO BACK WHERE YOU STAYED LAST NIGHT (20's and 30's foot-stompin' hand-clappin' good time blues) this month! Look for it on CD Baby soon. Her debut CD, Gay Marshall SIngs Piaf, La Vie, L'Amour debuted on the Billboard World Album Chart in January 2010 in the #12 position.

WINTER RHYTHMS, marks the third year that Urban Stages has brought noted musical artists to its stage during the holiday period. Proceeds from the musical series helps to fund Urban Stages’ Outreach Program that brings over 300 free “arts in education” presentations to libraries and schools throughout the five boroughs.
