Wednesday, November 9th A multi-talented, democratic collective whose participants share vocal and songwriting duties, Ollabelle stop by Studio A to talk to Claudia Marshall before their show at the Landmark on Main Street on November 11th.

Thursday, November 10th The Akron, Ohio-bred/Brooklyn, N.Y.-residing singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur warms up with an FUV Live show with host Rita Houston, as he gets set to play Zankel Hall the following night.

Friday, November 11th North Carolina psych-folk band Megafaun, comprised of brothers Brad and Phil Cook and Joe Westerlund, drop by The Alternate Side studio to talk to Kara Manning and play songs off their self-titled fourth album.


Monday, November 14th A former member of Damien Rice's band, talented Irish songstress Lisa Hannigan crosses the pond to talk to Rita Houston.

Tuesday, November 15th A songwriter who melds day-glo psychedelic soul laced with glammed-up riffs and the acerbic energy of punk, Van Hunt visits Claudia Marshall.

Thursday, November 17th Rhode Island indie folk band Deer Tick perform a special FUV Live show for WFUV members and talk to The Alternate Side's Alisa Ali. They play Webster Hall on November 20th.

Friday, November 18th A Stereogum Band To Watch, New Jersey band Real Estate, who released their new album days last month, talk to The Alternate Side's Russ Borris.

Monday, November 21st Seattle band The Head and the Heart makes music that pulses effervescently-both explosively danceable and intuitively intelligent. They visit Claudia Marshall before they open for Mavis Staples at the Holiday Cheer for FUV Concert at the Beacon Theatre on December 5th.

Tuesday November 22nd Indie-pop duo Mates of State, husband-and-wife team of Kori Gardner and Jason Hammel, join Russ Borris for an interview and performance session.

Wednesday, November 23rd Grammy Award-winning Alabama-raised singer Shelby Lynne sits downwith Rita Houston.

Friday, November 25th One time member of the Philadelphia Boys Choir, Pat Grossi, AKA Active Child, makes laptop-assisted indie-pop the backdrop for his falsetto on his debut album, You Are All I See. He stops by The Alternate Side to talk to Alisa Ali about influences ranging from choral music to electronica.

Monday, November 28th Prolific pianist, composer, singer and songwriter Tori Amos talks to Darren DeVivo about her long and fruitful career. She performs two nights at theBeacon Theatre on December 2nd and 3rd.

Tuesday, November 29th English rock band Elbow, who won a Mercury Prize for 2008's The Seldom Seen Kid, drop by to talk to The Alternate Side's Kara Manning on the heels of 2011's Build a Rocket, Boys!

Wednesday, November 30th More than a quarter of a century into his career, Chris Isaak releases Beyond The Sun, an ode to the music of Sun Records. He plays songs of the new CD and talks to Rita Houston.
