Tony Award winner (and son of Charlie Chaplin) Sydney Earle Chaplin has died at age 82.

Chaplin won the Tony for his performance opposite Judy Holiday in the musical BELLS ARE RINGING.

He was nominated for his role of Nicky Arnstein in Funny Girl opposite Barbara Streisand.

Chaplin also appeared in the films Limelight, Land of the Pharaohs, Confession as well as several others.

The actor was the longtime owner and manager of Chaplin's restaurant in Palm Springs.

Chaplin is survived by his third wife, Margaret Beebe Chaplin as well as his son and granddaughter.
