Théâtre Aux Écuries presents a Candles are for Burning production, Bliss, written by Olivier Choinière and translated by Caryl Churchill. Directed by Steven McCarthy, the production will play Tuesday, March 5 - Saturday, March 9, 2013.

An oracle stands in a Walmart lunch room and directs three fellow employees in a wild fantasy taken from the pages of a tabloid. What's wrong with Celine? Why is she turning her back on her glamorous life? And how is her story connected to the story on the opposite page: a complete unknown abused by her family? This darkly surrealist theatricalization of sensational press stories about Gods and monsters is the ultimate revenge.

Featuring Delphine Bienvenue, Jean-Robert Bourdage, Trent Pardy and France Rolland.

Théâtre Aux Écuries is located at 7285, rue Chabot (metro Fabre). Performances play Tuesday to Friday at 8:30 pm, Saturday at 4:30pm. Tickets: $12.50-$25.00. Box Office: 514 328-7437 (514 Écu-ries) or www.auxecuries.com and www.candlesr4.tumblr.com.
