The Houston Symphony Announces SYMPHONY SUMMER IN THE CITY

Today, the Houston Symphony announced its full lineup for the "Symphony Summer in the City" concert series at Jones Hall in June and July. Focusing on a wide range of recognizable entertainment, these summer programs encourage audiences to experience the live sights and sounds of the orchestra in unique and innovative ways. From movie music, video games and rock-and-roll, to bluegrass and mariachi, there is something for audiences of all ages. New and renewing subscribers will have exclusive early access to tickets beginning today, Tuesday, March 25. The Music of Led Zeppelin

The Music of Led Zeppelin combines the power of a full rock band with the Houston Symphony in one entertaining, high-energy evening of music. Conductor/arranger Brent Havens and lead singer Randy Jackson, of rock band Zebra fame, join the Houston Symphony to capture Led Zeppelin's "sheer blast and power" riff for riff in electric performances of classic hits such as "Stairway to Heaven," "Black Dog" and "Immigrant Song."

Steve Martin & the Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell

Funnyman Steve Martin showcases his musical career, teaming up with bluegrass quintet the Steep Canyon Rangers and folk-rock soloist Edie Brickell, for a one-of-a-kind concert featuring songs from Martin and Brickell's latest album, including "Love Has Come For You," this year's GRAMMY® winner for "Best American Roots Song."

The orchestra will not appear on this program.
