Composer and Lyricist Stephen Sondheim has written some of the most well-known scores in American Musical Theatre. Amongst his work are the scores for 'A Funny Thing Happened on The Way to the Forum', 'Company', 'Follies', 'A Little Night Music', 'Sweeney Todd', 'Sunday in the Park with George', 'Into The Woods', Assassins'. Sondheim has also written the lyrics for 'West Side Story' and 'Gypsy'. For his achievements, he has garnered an Academy Award and nine Tony Awards, various Grammy Awards, and a Pulitzer Prize. In 2008, Sondhemin received the Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in The Theatre.
