South African actor Stelio Savante has joined the cast of Peter Greenaway's highly anticipated Eisenstein in Guanajuato which begins filming in early 2014. Finnish actor Elmer Back is attached to star as the pioneering Russian filmmaker about the short-lived but passionate love affair between Eisenstein and his guide in Mexico. The film highlights ten days during Eisenstein's stay in Mexico that shook his life up.

Savante will portray Hunter S Kimbrough, one of the financiers and producers of Eisenstein's original venture that included meetings with Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. The film is produced by Bruno Felix and Femke Wolting through Dutch production company and distributor Submarine. Greenaway is a four time Palme d'Or nominee and best artistic contribution winner at Cannes.

Savante has just wrapped the sex trade thriller Selling Isobel directed by Raindance nominee Rudolf Buitendach starring opposite Matthew Marsden, Amber Benson and Alyson Stoner. And he can also be seen guest starring opposite Jim Caviezel in an upcoming episode of J.J Abram's Person Of Interest on CBS.

He is repped by Michael Greenwald at Don Buchwald & Associates, Gigi Garner Management and attorney Neil Meyer.
