Southern Rep Theatre is pleased to announce details of its 2015 Lagniappe Stage production of Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL, adapted by Doris Baizley and directed by Jen Davis. John "Spud" McConnell will return as Ebenezer Scrooge.

"Southern Rep's festive A CHRISTMAS CAROL has become a must-see New Orleans holiday tradition. We adore Baizley's adaptation of the Dickens classic, with its gorgeous handbell choir, traditional holiday songs, and Victorian dances! We are also so excited to invite our audiences into UNO's Robert E. Nims Theatre for the first time," says Southern Rep Theatre Producing Artistic Director Aimée Hayes. "This theater space lends itself to fun and celebration-A CHRISTMAS CAROL is a great way to kick-off our residence at the university."

It's a holiday tradition! Miserly Ebenezer Scrooge takes a journey through Christmas Past, Present, and Future, learning that it's never too late to change your heart. Experience the music, laughter, and magic in this one-of-a-kind adaptation of Dickens' beloved tale.

Susan Spicer's Mondo, located at 900 Harrison Avenue, is offering Southern Rep Theatre patrons a special $35, three-course prix fixe menu before performances. Limited reservations are available for Thursdays through Saturdays at 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00 PM by calling 504.224.2633. Mondo also accepts guests on a walk-in basis.
