Previews for EVITA began back on March 12, 2012 at the Marquis Theatre on Broadway in anticipation of the April 5, 2012 opening. The company of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's landmark musical EVITA is led by world renowned music artist Ricky Martin as Che, Olivier Award-winning Argentinean actress Elena Roger in her Broadway debut as Eva Perón and Tony Award-winner Michael Cerveris as Juan Perón, along with Max von Essen as Migaldi, Rachel Potter as the Mistress, and Christina DeCicco as the alternate/standby for Eva Perón.

While we wait for our first look at Ricky Martin's eagerly anticipated take on the role, we thought this was a perfect time to check out some highlights of some of the greats who have taken on the role of 'Che' over the years.
