Lauren Elder, most recently seen in the Broadway revival of SIDE SHOW, is currently recording her debut album of original music. Written by Lauren, the album is being recorded at Motel Room Studios in Long Island City, and co-produced with Bobby Cronin and Dan Crowley.

Lauren blends the sweet sounds of the ukulele with influences of folk, jazz and pop to create her unique, whimsical sound, which will be backed by a full band on the album. Lauren's signature expert whistling will be highly featured on the album, as well.

Lauren has been using the crowd funding website, RocketHub, to fund her album, and she beat her initial goal of $6,500 in less than one week. She has since posted a stretch goal of $10,000, which she has almost met, and still has two weeks left in her campaign. You can fund her project, in return for some cool goods, here.
