Robin's Nest Creator and Host, Robin Westle, has announced that Robin's Nest is going to the movies! Along with a special summer menu, the multi-award winning film The David Dance will be screened in its entirety (108 minutes). Attendees will dine on movie-theater style hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken and other fun foods - plus plenty of popcorn, of course.

Pre-screening performances by Westle, along with Robin's Nest director, the multi-award winning Eric Michael Gillett, and Robin's Nest alumnus, the talented Isaiah Feil- Sharp - accompanied by crackerjack musical director, Mike Pettry on piano, - will add an extra dollop of joy to the evening's entertainment.

The David Dance has won award after award at film festivals across the United States. Beautifully shot and sensitively executed, the movie examines the nature of interpersonal relations and the meaning of family. The story follows David (played by the film's writer/producer Don Scimé), the host of a gay radio show in Buffalo, New York. David's life is upended by his sister's request that he help parent her soon-to-be-adopted child, causing him to examine his life, his own self-loathing, and a possible new love relationship on the horizon. For more information, and to see the trailer, visit www.thedaviddance.com.

A $50 prix fix for the evening's entertainment includes dinner, cover charge, taxes and gratuities. Cash bar only. Reservations are a must. Call 212.352.3101 or go to www.lauriebeechmantheatre.com.

Proceeds from cover charges will be donated to HelpUsAdopt.org, a non-discriminatory 501(c)3 organization that awards grants of up to $15,000 to provide financial assistance with the high costs of adoption. Robin's Nest is about great entertainment with a cause - the support of HelpUsAdopt.org Robin's Nest was initiated by Westle, the mother of two adopted children, in 2014, with a dual mission of promoting great entertainment while benefitting an organization that's vital to the adoption community.

HelpUsAdopt.org, founded in 2007, is a unique, national 501(c)3 grant program which helps families complete their adoptions, a process that's often financially draining for many. HelpUsAdopt.org supports all types of families (married couples, single-parent and LGBT families), all types of adoptions (domestic, international, foster care), and all religions, without requiring a statement of faith. There is never a charge for applicants to apply.
