Douglas Hodge, the Tony-winning star of the Broadway production La Cage Aux Folles, performed in concert as part of the Broadway at Birdland series on Monday, February 7.  Musical Director Sonny Paladino led the four-piece band, and singers Morgan James and Terry Lavell were special guests.

Beyond his critically-acclaimed theatrical work, Douglas has another life as a songwriter, writing an eclectic mix of jazz and folk inspired tunes, and the concert was a combination of songs from his cd's, NIGHTBUS, and COWLEY ROAD SONGS.  He also gave a special preview of music he has written for the new musical Meantime.  Birdland was packed with friends and fans, including his Guys and Dolls (West End) co-star Jane Krakowski, La Cage director Terry Johnson and current co-stars Christine Andreas and Nicholas Cunningham.
