The official opening night of Young Frankenstein was a star-studded event, November 8 at the Hilton Theatre (213 W 42nd St).�

The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein stars Roger Bart (Dr. Frankenstein), Megan Mullally (Elizabeth) , Sutton Foster (Inga), Shuler Hensley (The Monster), Andrea Martin (Frau Blucher), Fred Applegate (Inspector Kemp/Hermit) and Christopher Fitzgerald (Igor). The company of 27 includes: Heather Ayers, Jim Borstelmann, Paul Castree, Jennifer Lee Crowl, Jack Doyle, James Gray, Amy Heggins, Eric Jackson, Kristin Marie Johnson, Renee Feder, Kevin Ligon, Matthew Labanca, Barrett Martin, Linda Mugleston, Chris Tina Marie Norrup, Justin Patterson, Brian Shepard, Sarrah Strimel, Craig Waletzko, and Courtney Young.

Young Frankenstein features a book by three-time Tony Award winner Mel Brooks and three-time Tony Award winner Thomas Meehan and music and lyrics by Brooks. Young Frankenstein is directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman . Musical supervision is by Glen Kelly.

Cory English is YOUNG FRANK's New 'Igor' Starting 11/25
Cory English begins as the new Igor in Mel Brooks' award-winning Young Frankenstein this Tuesday, November 25th, at Broadway's Hilton Theatre (213 W 42nd St), joining current cast members Roger Bart, Shuler Hensley, Beth Leavel, Fred Applegate, Michele Ragusa, and Kelly Sullivan. Young Frankenstein's original Igor, Christopher Fitzgerald - Tony nominated for his performance - completes his run Sunday, November, 23rd.

Brooks Offers Black 'YOUNG FRANK' Role?
Today's Page Six in the Sunday New York Post reports that Mel Brooks asked "Tropic Thunder" star Jack Black to join the Broadway cast of his "Young Frankenstein," when the comic actor asked which role - Igor or Dr. Frankenstein? Brooks said "either one," but Black politely declined according to the Page Six columnist.

Since building his first darkroom in his hometown of Milwaukee WI, his portrait studio now looks out over Manhattan where he shoots headshots and production photos. Born to a famous cheesecake lady (Suzy Strothmann of Suzy's Cream Cheesecakes), Ben is also an actor and pianist. Currently he lives in Astoria and studies guitar and Icelandic. Ben is also a volunteer for The Heart Gallery (heartgallerynyc.org) and helps NYC foster children find permanent, loving families.
