Manhattan Theatre Club's LoveMusik, starring Michael Cerveris�as Kurt Weill and Donna Murphy�as Lotte Lenya, opened at the Biltmore Theatre�on May 3rd.

Suggested by the letters of Weill and Lenya, LoveMusik features a book by Pulitzer and Tony Award-winner Alfred Uhry (Driving Miss Daisy, Parade). Musical staging is provided by Patricia Birch (A Little Night Music), and direction by 21-time Tony Award-winner Harold Prince (The Phantom of the Opera, Cabaret, and Sweeney Todd). "LoveMusik follows the lives of the unlikeliest of lovers � the brilliant, intellectual German composer Kurt Weill (Cerveris) and the woman who became his muse and star, Lotte Lenya (Murphy). LoveMusik is an epic romance, set in Berlin, Paris, Broadway and Hollywood, spanning 25 years in the lives of this complicated couple," state press notes.

The production also features David Pittu (Bertolt Brecht) and John Scherer (George Davis), with Judith Blazer, Edwin Cahill, Herndon Lackey, Erik Liberman, Ann Morrison, Graham Rowat, Rachel Ulanet and Jessica Wright.� LoveMusik features the lyrics of Maxwell Anderson, Bertolt Brecht, Howard Dietz, Roger Fernay, Ira Gershwin, Oscar Hammerstein II, Langston Hughes, Alan Jay Lerner, Maurice Magre, Ogden Nash, Elmer Rice and Kurt Weill.

LoveMusik Cast Album Released Nov.27
Ghostlight Records, a division of Sh-K-Boom Records, will release the world premiere recording of the Manhattan Theatre Club's new Broadway musical LoveMusik, which was nominated for four Tony Awards. The production starred Tony Award winners Michael Cerveris and Donna Murphy and featuring the songs of Kurt Weill. The recording, produced by Joel Moss with Kurt Deutsch serving as Executive Producer, will be available in stores and online on November 27.

The cast of LoveMusik, the new musical about theatre legends Kurt Weill and Lotte Lenya, recorded a cast album of the musical for Ghostlight Records on Sunday, July 15th at Avatar Studios.

LoveMusik Ends Limited Engagement on June 24
Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere production of LoveMusik will begin its final week of performances Tuesday, June 19. The limited engagement will end on Sunday, June 24 at the Biltmore Theatre (261 West 47th Street). The production will have played 24 previews and 61 regular performances.
