Ebenezer Scrooge was never visited by three spirits, as depicted in the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. Rather, it was an elaborate hoax hatched by Nephew Fred and the conniving Cratchits.

When Scrooge learns he'd been conned, he turns the tables on the tricksters and there's the devil to pay! Both Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol and Joe Doyle's The Christmas Carol Conspiracy: Scrooge's Revenge are running alternate dates on weekends Dec. 4 - 20. The Dickens classic is adapted by NET co-founders Cheryl and Joe Doyle. Both plays perform at the Heritage Center, 635 N. Delmorr Avenue (Route 32), Morrisville - near the Calhoun Street Bridge.

Show times for A Christmas Carol are Dec. 4, 12, & 18 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 6 & 20 at 2 p.m. Joe Doyle's spoof performs Dec. 5, 11 & 19 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 13 and 19 at 2 p.m. For reservations or further information, call the nonprofit theatre at 215-295-3694.
