Deadline reports that Ben Rappaport will star in a new comedy for USA titled LOVE IS DEAD. The project will be written and directed by Zev Borow and will be based on a French short film of the same name.

The single-camera pilot is described as "a comedic exploration of modern romance in reverse, break-up first. It is set at an agency that specializes in breaking-up romantic relationships on behalf of those who are willing to pay to not be around when it happens and centers on Alex (Rappaport) who, after he's dumped by a representative of the agency, vows to find out what it is, specifically, that's wrong with him - by taking a job at the company."

Rappaport recently made his Broadway debut in Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Picnic. The actor starred on NBC's short-lived comedy 'Outsourced' and will next be seen in feature film The Brass Teapot. The pilot marks Bill Engvall's return to TBS where his Bill Engvall Show ran for three seasons after debuting with 3.9 million viewers.
