In author Oried E. Graves' book "God Created Man in His Image and Likeness" (published by Trafford Publishing), which is getting a new marketing push, readers follow Graves as he takes an in-depth look at God, creation and the purpose of mankind.

"Everyone who reads the Bible must admit that it tells us to do things that we never have done and cannot do in our fleshly bodies," writes Graves. "One reason is that God our Creator is telling us what He wants us to be and do as created in His image and likeness. Our purpose is in our image and likeness of God our Creator."

In "God Created Man in His Image and Likeness" Graves details for readers how God created mankind to be with Him, being who He created mankind to be and doing what He would do Himself. "This fulfills God and mankind," notes Graves, "and justifies mankind to live forever with God His Creator."

An excerpt from the book:

"The truth of God's Word must direct our unconditional love in life in order to please our heavenly Father. This is expressed in Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths in life. If a person does not want God to direct his path with is Word [Ps. 119:11, 105], he is free to trust self and enter into whatever covenant relationship he thinks is good for him. However, self has limited knowledge by not hearing the voice of God, he will surely experience an evil covenant relationship with someone that will cause him troubles and miseries that He will need God's help to get out."
