Directed by Rachel Chavkin, NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 first premiered at New York City's Ars Nova in a seven-week sold out run, during which it was showered with rave reviews and landed at the top of the year's best-of lists in The New York Times, Time Out New York and The New York Post. It was one of the hottest tickets in town, but played just 39 performances. Following the Ars Nova engagement, producers Howard & Janet Kagan were approached with numerous transfer options ranging from traditional theaters to raw spaces before deciding to create a wholly original space inspired by the show itself, in partnership with Randy Weiner and Simon Hammerstein from Variety Worldwide who together created perennial New York hotspot The Box (New York, London) and its sister club, The Act (Las Vegas, Dubai).

NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 invites you to join Tolstoy's brash young lovers for an evening you'll never forget, as vodka flows and passions ignite in Dave Malloy's electropop opera, ripped from a slice of War and Peace. At once stunning, sensual, and inspired, this singular theatrical event promises "a rare and marvelous event: amidst the din of New York, an oasis of artful illumination." (Time Out New York)
