Leakes first came aboard the comedy musical series in Season 3 as the coach of McKinley's synchronized swimming team; she took over the Cheerios after Sue was let go and was allowed to stay on staff after proving her worth at Nationals.

The actress joins returning guest stars Max Adler, Dianna Agron, Jayma Mays and Jenna Ushkowitz in the upcoming season.

The REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA star has also appeared in NBC's short-lived comedy THE NEW NORMAL, also from GLEE creator Ryan Murphy. She was most recently seen on TV competing in the 18th season of ABC's DANCING WITH THE STARS. Leakes will also star on Broadway this fall as 'Madame' in Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA.

Glee's final season will premiere in Spring 2015.
