American agriculture is responsible for providing the necessities of everyday life ... food, fiber, clothing and even fuel. That's the message of National Ag Day, which will be celebrated today, March 19, 2016, at the Washington Pavilion. Producers, agricultural associations, corporations, universities, government agencies and countless others across America will gather to celebrate the abundance provided by agriculture.

Each year, the Washington Pavilion gathers members of the agricultural industry in an effort to promote agriculture in the Midwest, with a focus on sharing how agriculture provides almost everything we eat, use and wear on a daily basis!

Join the Washington Pavilion at the 13th Annual Ag Day on March 19th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and help thank the farmers and ranchers of the Midwest that make everyday life livable. There will be ag-related activities and booths and a free lunch featuring South-Dakota-made products. Thanks to generous Ag Day sponsors, entrance to the Kirby Science Discovery Center, Visual Arts Center, and mission films at the Wells Fargo CineDome is FREE.

Ag Day is sponsored by the South Dakota Soybean Research & Promotion Council, BNSF, South Dakota Corn Utilization Council, South Dakota Beef Industry Council, Pipestone System, South Dakota Biotech Association, South Dakota Farm Bureau, South Dakota Pork Producers Council, Ag United for South Dakota, CHS Eastern Farmers, Hefty Seed Company, POET, South Dakota Farmers Union, South Dakota Wheat Commission, American Coalition for Ethanol, Bel Brands USA, C & R Supply, CHS Inc., D & W Industries, Dakota Layers, Lake Norden Cheese Company, Midwest Dairy Association, RCIS, South Dakota Agri-Business Association, South Dakota Grasslands Association, South Dakota No Till Association & South Dakota Soil Health Coalition, Hexad Farms, Paulsen Marketing, SDSU College of Agriculture and Biological Sciences, Tri-State Neighbor, Hy-Vee, John Morrell, Dean Foods/Land O' Lakes, Avera McKennan and Campbell Supply.
