NFL's Justin Tuck and Lauran Tuck to Be Honored with the Game Changers Award

Winning Play$: Black Women, Feminism, & Empowerment will be held Monday, June 26th 2017 at the Paley Center for Media in New York City.

During the course of this transformative evening, a group of extraordinary women from multiple generations will share stories, history, insights, experience, and ideas that will benefit all who share this event and beyond. Panelists will help the audience move beyond limiting perceptions and conditioning through an examination of how black women have transcended barriers from the feminist movement through modern day.

The event will be moderated by Stacey Tisdale, award-winning financial Journalist & author, and Founder of Winning Play$ financial empowerment program. Michelle Miller, CBS News Correspondent, will be the mistress of ceremonies.

This year Winning Play$ will honor Justin Tuck, and his wife Lauran with the "Game Changers Award", for their ongoing efforts to make young people financially literate through their R.U.S.H. For Literacy Foundation.

Content from the event will be shown on theGrio - which means storyteller in Africa - a digital video-centric news community platform providing compelling stories and perspectives. Focused on breaking news, opinion, entertainment, health, sports, business, politics and events that have an interest and/or pronounced impact within the African American community. Panelists for the evening include: Gloria Steinem, Feminist icon, author, and activist; Carol Jenkins, Award-Winning journalist, writer, producer, and activist; Angela Yee, iheartmedia, Power 105.1 FM, and Breakfast Club host; Grace Vandecruze, Founder, and Managing Director, Grace Capital LLC; and Rianka Dorsainvil, President, and Founder of Your Greatest Contribution for Millennials.

There will also be a special performance by the iconic alternative rock, and R&B trio BETTY.

Winning Play$, which was created by financial journalist and author Stacey Tisdale, and winner of the U.S. Department of Education's Excellence in Economic Education award in 2010, is a behavior-based financial literacy program that helps students develop healthy attitudes and behaviors around money.

They examine how factors such as gender, ethnicity, role-modeling, and media messages play out in their financial beliefs and choices. They learn how to move beyond the conditioning that doesn't serve them. In addition, they master basic financial concepts such as saving, debt, management, and investing, as well as the best strategies for paying for college.

The program is also built to Common Core math standards and the Jumpstart Coalition's national financial education standards.
