According to reports, Musicians from the Greater Trenton Symphony Orchestra have formed the New Jersey Capital Philharmonic Orchestra with a new conductor, new management, revised marketing strategies and plans for a New Year's Eve concert at the War Memorial.

They need $35,000 to make it happen.

Close to a century of musical tradition meets visionary new leadership and thus emerges The New Jersey Capital Philharmonic, a new symphony orchestra with an ambitious mission to bring back classical music to Trenton and the wider region and also to be an impetus to rejuvenating the city, infusing new life into the business center of the capital and contributing to the talents and entrepreneurship of its diverse communities. Under the leadership of Maestro Daniel Spalding, an accomplished conductor who has lived in the Trenton area for the past 25 years, Mr. Steven Kyle, Chairman of the Musicians Union Orchestra Committee, a number of musicians who were concerned about the future of classical music in our society, and a dedicated group of civic leaders, a new orchestra and organization has been formed and the New Jersey Capital Philharmonic Orchestra, Inc. has been born. We are moving into the future with great optimism and the hope that symphonic orchestral concerts will continue to be part of the cultural fabric of this great city and state and will contribute to its renaissance. You are invited to attend our concerts and we are asking you to please donate to our cause.
