Katerina Bocci, known for dressing Detroit's fashion elite and Hollywood celebrities, has launched her 2014 luxury bridal gown collection, which has attracted new customers half way around the world in Japan.

While Bocci's main clientele remain women in her home state, her gowns can be found in boutiques in Connecticut, Florida, and Philadelphia and even in Japan.

"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase my gowns to an entirely new audience," explains Bocci. "When the boutique owner from Japan and said she wanted to carry my collection, I was surprised at first. But women far and wide want to look and feel like a princess on their wedding day," she explains.

Katerina Bocci Spring '14 collection showcases the sweeping ball gowns and pick ups in skirting that she has become known for. Five of the nine gowns in the collection - Fiona, Magdalena, Orelia, Vienna and Veronica - are reminiscent of a bygone era, yet forward thinking enough to recently capture the attention of the editors of The Knot magazine. Bocci's Orelia gown received the magazine's Editorial Pick at the Bridal Week Couture Show in New York.

Bocci's gift for creating breath-taking feminine silhouettes with superb fit is unmistakable throughout the collection, especially in her Amara, Aria, Mirabel, and Renee gowns - four completely unique mermaid-style dresses.

"My designs accentuate a woman's body, so she feels and looks absolutely gorgeous on one of the most important days of her life," Bocci says. "My brides want to make an unforgettable impression - they want to stand out from the rest and walk down the aisle in a gown they've imagined wearing since childhood. It is my Honor and pleasure to help women bring their dreams to life."

Photographed by internationally acclaimed fashion photographer - and fellow Albanian American - Fadil Berisha, Bocci's '14 collection exudes sophistication. Her hand-sewn craftsmanship and innovative, avant-garde, and luxurious designs are sought after by the most discerning brides-to-bed. Born in Albania, and educated in Italy, Katerina Bocci approaches her designs both with passion and technical expertise.

Opulent finishes, including impeccable hand beading, Swarovski trim and stones adorn only the finest fabrics, including 100-percent silk shantung, silk organza, silk taffeta, Duchess silk and tulle in an array of whites, ivories, and creams. The 2014 collection features a range of designs suitable for the most formal affairs; chic, city weddings; as well as classic nuptials of any kind.

Famed photographer and television host Nigel Barker also recently captured Bocci's avant-garde style during a photo shoot for Art Van Furniture, which featured a model wearing an exquisite gown she made of upholstery fabric. (Barker best known for his participation as a judge on the reality show America's Next Top Model, is now the host of reality show The Face.)
